John Adams Hall, Bloomsbury, London, UK
This is a terrace of nine late-19th century buildings that has been successfully converted into student accommodation for the Institute of Education, University of London. The Grade II listed buildings were extensively refurbished and modernised. As well as bedrooms equipped with en-suite bathrooms and grouped around small-scale kitchens, the hall contains conference facilities and large communal spaces.
All mechanical, electrical, public health, fire protection and lift services were renewed to comply with current Building Regulations and standards.
